Common questions about how SubJolt connects to each supported gateway.

SubJolt has native integrations with Stripe, Shopify, Chargebee, Recurly, and Recharge. Each one supports the full range of save actions (apply discount or coupon, pause subscription, switch plan, and change billing cycle), executed directly through the gateway's API. Paddle is on the roadmap.

No. Stripe and Shopify use one-click OAuth: you authorize through the gateway's secure flow and SubJolt never sees your secret keys. Chargebee, Recurly, and Recharge connect with an API key entered in your dashboard. API keys are stored server-side only and are never exposed to the browser or included in the widget code.

Each SubJolt account connects to one payment gateway. If you run subscriptions on multiple gateways (for example, Stripe for SaaS and Recharge for an ecommerce arm), create a separate SubJolt account for each. Note that each account requires its own subscription. This keeps analytics, configuration, and credentials cleanly scoped per gateway.

Yes. From the SubJolt dashboard you can reconnect to a different gateway at any time. Existing analytics remain in place. New cancel flows will execute save actions through the newly connected gateway.

No. SubJolt never collects, stores, or transmits cardholder data (card numbers, CVVs, expiry dates, or bank account details). All payment processing happens directly through your connected payment gateway. SubJolt only stores the gateway credentials needed to execute save actions on your behalf, and those credentials are kept server-side and never exposed to client-side code.
