Billing & Account

Manage your plan, understand what's included, and update your account settings.

Managing Your Plan

Access your billing details by clicking your account menu in the top right and selecting 'Plan.' This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can upgrade, downgrade, or change your billing cycle between monthly and annual. Plan changes take effect immediately — if you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current period. If you downgrade, the credit from your current plan is applied to the next invoice. Your billing portal also shows your invoice history, current payment method, and next billing date. You can update your payment card directly in the portal without contacting support. If your payment fails, Stripe will retry automatically over several days before suspending your account.

Starter vs Pro

The Starter plan is free and lets you get started with SubJolt: configurable cancellation reasons, basic cancel flow configuration, the cancellation reasons chart, and the widget with default theming. Pro unlocks the full feature set: unlimited cancellation reasons each with their own cancel flows, all save mechanisms (discounts, pauses, plan downgrades, billing cycle switches), advanced analytics (save rate tracking, mechanism performance, write-in analysis, per-reason breakdown), full theme customization, reason-specific feedback screens, and the reactivation banner. Pro is designed for teams serious about reducing churn — the advanced analytics alone typically pay for the subscription by showing you exactly which offers work and which don't.

Switching Payment Gateways

To switch to a different payment gateway, run the setup wizard again from your account menu ('Run Setup'). On the gateway step, disconnect your current gateway and connect the new one. Your cancel flow configuration — reasons, steps, offer copy — is preserved, but you will need to re-map plan-specific offers. Existing analytics data remains intact since it's tied to your SubJolt account, not the gateway. SubJolt supports Stripe, Shopify, Chargebee, Recharge, and Recurly. If you're migrating subscribers between billing platforms, connect the new gateway after the migration is complete so SubJolt can read the updated subscription data.

Account Settings

If you need to transfer account ownership to a different team member, contact support — we can update the account email and reset the authentication credentials. Your SubJolt account is tied to a single domain and payment gateway. If you need to manage multiple sites, create a separate account for each. Each account has its own configuration, analytics, and billing, keeping everything cleanly separated.
